
On December 11, the opening ceremony of the "Azerbaijan Symposium on Strengthening Nursing and Midwifery" organized jointly by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Ministry of Health, the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance (ITSDA) and TABIB was held.
Director of Ganja Medical College Mehman Rzayev and five of our doctors - teachers participated in the "Azerbaijan Symposium on Strengthening Nursing and Midwifery" held on December 11-14, 2022.
The aim of the symposium was to share innovations, reforms and changes in nursing and midwifery practice and education in the world, as well as to discuss the state of nursing and midwifery in Azerbaijan in the areas defined in the "Global Strategic Directions for Nursing and Midwifery" of the World Health Organization (WHO). .
Within the framework of the symposium, 3 panel discussions were held on "Services and duties of nurses and midwives" (December 12), "Nursing and midwifery education" (December 13) and "Leadership" (December 14). Also, various forums and training courses were held on twelve topics.
This event will contribute to the expansion of the exchange of ideas between nurses and midwives, experts and decision-makers, as well as to the strengthening of cooperation and interaction between nurses and midwives at the local, regional and international levels.
