In Ganja Medical College, an event dedicated to the genius poet, scientist and thinker Nizami Ganjavi, who is a unique standard-bearer of world poetry, was held under the name "Nizami Ganjavi and modern medicine".
In addition to the director of Ganja Medical College, honored doctor Mehman Rzayev, students, doctors and teaching staff, Associate Professor Taghiyeva Alamzar, Doctor of Philosophy in Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Sadigov Hasanbala of Ganja State University, pedagogue, legal scholar, poet Apoyev Bayram participated in the event.
As we know, Nizami's creativity has human significance. Lev Klimovich evaluates the human importance of Nizami's creativity as follows: "Nizami's gift is great not only to his own folk literature and public opinion, but also to the fiction literature and public opinion of all mankind." Even in the Middle Ages, Nizami played a progressive role in the development of literature both in Azerbaijan and far beyond its borders. Prominent thinkers of all times appreciated his creative genius and called Nizami's 5 poems a miracle, five pearls.
By seeing the development of nature as a unity, Nizami Ganjavi was much ahead of the scientists of his time in expressing ideas about the processes of matter, the creation of the universe, the storage of energy, the law of universal gravitation, medical science, light and sound phenomena, heat and electricity.
It should also be noted that the 12th century is called the "Golden Age" in the cultural history of the Azerbaijani people.
The director of Ganja Medical College, Mehman Rzayev, who opened the event with an introductory speech, welcomed the guests and declared the event open. Mehman Rzayev said, "The great thinker who never left the city of Ganja, where he was born, promoted human values such as peace, justice, humanism, freedom and equality, high morality, and women's rights. The idea of gender equality, which is widespread in our modern times, is reflected in the works of Nizami, who lived in the 12th century. "Given that movements related to gender equality in Europe mainly begin at the end of the 19th century, this means that there is no need to prove how genius Nizami Ganjavi is," he said.
Later, professor of Ganja State University, Hasanbala Sadigov and Nizami scholar, poet Bayram Apoyev stated in their speeches that "Nizami Ganjavi is the unique son of Azerbaijan who writes in Turkish and Persian language". They said that "there is no such poet or writer in the world literature who, being faithful to the traditions of his native people, can use so many important issues and wise sayings in his works. These facts once again prove that Nizami Ganjavi is a wise, scientific priceless pearl of the Azerbaijani people," they said.
Nizami is also our contemporary with his humanistic views and humanistic ideas. It can be said without exaggeration that the works of the genius artist are quite modern and fresh today, as in all times. His works are a miracle of artistic art that satisfies the spiritual needs of all generations and enriches people's views on society every time they are read.
Not only the classical Azerbaijani literature, but also the medieval Eastern epic poetry as a whole, has greatly expanded its subject and artistic range thanks to Nizami's "Khamsa".
Nizami's poetry is very rich and broad both in terms of form and content. He is an international poet as well as an Azerbaijani poet. We are a happy people who have a genius like Nizami.
At the end, a short video was shown, consisting of photographs taken by Alamzar Taghiyeva, PhD in pedagogical sciences, associate professor, who once studied at our college with her fellow students. Mrs. Alamzar said that it was a surprise for her and she felt joy.
After the event, the visiting guests expressed that they felt very happy and satisfied with the event and the conditions created in the college.
