
An event dedicated to World Civil Defense Day was held at Ganja Medical College under the organization of the Ganja Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The head of the Civil Defense Department of the Ganja Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Lieutenant Colonel Rauf Hajiyev, Major Badayi Nasirov, an employee of the institution, Yadigar Badalov, the head of the department of the Ganja City Executive Authority, the staff of the college and students took part in the conference on "The role of information technologies in risk assessment".
Kamala Ismayilova, the doctor-teacher of the college who opened the event with an introductory speech, congratulated all employees working in this field on the occasion of March 1 International Civil Defense Day. He emphasized that it is important to highlight the great role of the genius in the effective organization of Civil Defense in Azerbaijan at this event held on the eve of the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev:
"Azerbaijan took the first important step in the field of Civil Defense during the leadership of the general leader. Our country became a member of the International Civil Defense Organization in 1993. It is no coincidence that Heydar Aliyev considered the organization of civil defense very important in our country. In the words of a genius - "Preventing an event is easier than eliminating its consequences," added K. Ismayilova.
The speaker emphasized the attention and concern of the head of the country Ilham Aliyev in the organization of Civil Defense in Azerbaijan and added that currently, great steps have been taken in the application of modern technologies in this field in our country. Today, civil defense teams operate in enterprises, and they are regularly informed about modern technologies used at the international level and their application. Touching on the practical measures taken in this field at the Ganja Medical College, K. Ismayilova said that the latest, modern equipment has been installed in the educational institution.
Then Major Bahayi Nasirov, a member of the Civil Defense Department of the Ganja Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, looked at the history of this day. He noted that the application of modern technologies in the organization of civil defense, which is one of the most priority areas in the world today, plays a major role in reducing risks and minimizing risks in the event of accidents.
Then the department head of Ganja City Executive Authority, Yadigar Badalov, greeted the event participants on behalf of the city head, Niyazi Bayramov, and congratulated all civil defense workers on the occasion of the holiday. He emphasized that the cataclysms and unfortunate events happening in the world today indicate that every citizen should be ready for civil defense, everyone should increase their knowledge in this field, and work to protect themselves and the people around them by using modern technology.
Speaking at the event, civil defense staff engineer of the college, Sevda Abbasova, spoke about the high-level organization of civil defense work at the educational institution. He emphasized that employees assigned to mangas are regularly educated according to the plan and their knowledge and skills are checked. Touching on the issue of technical equipment, the staff engineer noted that there is an 80-ton water reservoir in the courtyard of the college, besides that there are fire extinguishers on each floor, the evacuation plan of the building is reflected on each floor, and the wooden coverings of the roof structure of the building are impregnated with fire retardant liquid:
"Today, our college is equipped with the most modern surveillance cameras. All parameters of our enterprise are monitored by supervisors during the day. We also have smoke alarms and modern fire extinguishers. In the medical college, the alarm and loudspeaker can also be used in case of accidents. "We regularly inform our doctors-teachers and technical staff, as well as our students, about the rules to follow in case of emergencies," added S. Abbasova.
At the end of the conference, a video dedicated to civil defense and emergency measures was shown.
After the event, a visual inspection of the rescue operations organized by the employees of the Ganja Regional Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was held in the courtyard of the college.
