On the eve of the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, an event dedicated to the seventh anniversary of the April battles, which resulted in the victory of our victorious army over the enemy in 2016 and laid the foundation of our 44-day Victory, was held with the joint organization of YAP Ganja city organization and Ganja Medical College.

    The event began with a one-minute silence commemoration of national leader Heydar Aliyev, martyrs who heroically died for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

The director of the college, Honored Doctor Mehman Rzayev, who opened the meeting with his opening speech, spoke about the excitement and importance of the April battles, the heroism of our soldiers and officers in the Patriotic War, which began on September 27, 2020 and ended with a historic victory in 44 days:

"The April battles proved that Azerbaijan is a strong state and has a powerful, all-round ready army. In these battles, our soldiers and officers, as well as our whole nation, demonstrated that, if necessary, everyone is ready to unite around Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and fight the enemy to the end for the freedom of our lands. It is true that we gave martyrs in these wars and lost our heroic sons. We bow before their souls. In these wars, nothing could break the will of our people to fight. National leader Heydar Aliyev laid the foundation of this sense of struggle. He always emphasized in his speeches that the time will come when the Azerbaijani army will be the most combative and all-rounded army. Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, who followed the path of struggle laid by a genius personality, continued that path and united the people around him, and our occupied lands were liberated," added M. Rzayev.

   The director of Ganja Medical College emphasized that after the April victory in 2018, an area of eleven thousand hectares was liberated in the direction of Nakhchivan with the Gunnut operation, control was taken over the Yerevan-Yeghegnadzor-Gorus-Lachin-Khankendi highway, and in 2020, in the direction of Tovuz the enemy's provocation was resolutely prevented, crushing blows were delivered to the enemy.

   Speaking later, Deputy Chairman of YAP Ganja city organization Nurettin Ibrahimov pointed out that the April battles are the beginning of historical justice and victory: "The April victory proved that our brave soldiers are fully ready to liberate the occupied lands at any time and at any time by the order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. In the four-day glorious April battles, our strong army showed real bravery and laid the foundation for the great victory achieved by the Azerbaijani people, our Victory. Even today, our brave army is capable of responding to any attacks of armed Armenian terrorists who remain in Karabakh at any time, according to the order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief," said N. Ibrahimov.

   Speaking afterwards, the speakers spoke about the indispensable role of patriotism in our victory in the April battles and emphasized that the 44-day Patriotic War, which began on September 27, 2020, resulted in the liberation of our occupied lands, a historical victory, a victory was won, and justice was restored. . This proved to the whole world the strength of the Azerbaijani Army and its determination to win.

   At the end, a video showing the April battles was shown. A literary and artistic composition prepared by the students of the college was presented under the motto "April battles are our glorious historical victory".
