A conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev "You are such a peak" was held at Ganja Medical College. After the National Anthem of Azerbaijan was played, the event began with a minute's silence in memory of the spirit of national leader Heydar Aliyev and the souls of our martyrs who died for the liberation of our lands.

    Then, the director of the college, Honored doctor Mehman Rzayev, who gave an introductory speech, said that in our country, the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the savior of our nation, the founder and founder of the modern Azerbaijan state, and the great leader who won the eternal love of the people, is being celebrated. Saying that the life and political activity of the genius leader Heydar Aliyev, who had unparalleled services in establishing and developing the traditions of national statehood, M. Rzayev once again recalled the times led by the national leader:

"The Great Leader Heydar Aliyev led the republic in a separate period when Azerbaijan had two different and even completely contradictory political formations. The national leader led the Azerbaijan SSR in 1969-1982 and the already independent Azerbaijan in 1993-2003. It should be unequivocally noted that thanks to Heydar Aliyev's selfless work, effective business acumen, visionary leadership and organizational talent, Azerbaijan developed rapidly and comprehensively during the Soviet era and became one of the leading republics of the former union. In 1969-1982, as a result of the rapid increase in production in all sectors of the country's economy, the national income, which is a generalizing indicator of economic and social development, more than doubled. The breakthrough development of all fields in Azerbaijan - industry, science, education, health care, the creation of science-intensive production areas was ensured precisely by the efforts and purposeful activity of Heydar Aliyev, and the intellectual, scientific-technical and economic potential of the republic increased significantly. During his leadership of the republic, Heydar Aliyev paid special attention to the training of Azerbaijani national personnel. It was the result of his initiative that young Azerbaijanis were sent to study in the most prestigious universities of the former union. "In 1969-1982, more than 10,000 young Azerbaijanis studied at prestigious universities of Russia, Ukraine and other republics and returned to the republic and made valuable contributions to the development of Azerbaijan," said Mehman Rzayev.

    The director of the college said that today, under the leadership of the supreme commander-in-chief Ilham Aliyev, the architect of the successes achieved by Azerbaijan is the genius Heydar Aliyev:

"The people of Azerbaijan will always remember with great love their national leader, who lived for the happy future of his country with his knowledge and skills, political knowledge and foresight, and they will unite closely around Ilham Aliyev, a worthy follower of his political course, and lead our state to even better days," added the director of the college.

    Speaking later, Yadigar Badalov, head of the department of Ganja city executive power, emphasized that a series of large events were held in Ganja city, as in all of Azerbaijan, in connection with the 100th anniversary of the genius Heydar Aliyev. According to him, the foundation of the continuous economic and political development in our country was laid by the great leader during his leadership of Azerbaijan:

"Today, if we look at any city and district in our country, we can find enterprises, plants and factories created during the reign of the national leader. Even today, under the leadership of Ilham Aliyev, the victorious supreme commander of the victorious state, who kept the love of the country alive in the heart of the genius, who continued his steps to be taken for the development of the country, Azerbaijan is flourishing and developing day by day. We are indebted to the genius leader Heydar Aliyev for this modern Azerbaijan," added Y. Badalov.

    Nureddin Ibrahimov, the deputy chairman of the Ganja organization of the New Azerbaijan Party, spoke about the fateful decisions taken by the genius Heydar Aliyev as a political leader, and the work he did to make Azerbaijan recognized all over the world and recognized as an independent state. The speaker stated that the fertile conditions created in Azerbaijan today, whether people get professional education or the work done in the direction of protecting the health of citizens, were founded during the reign of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, and are being successfully continued today by his worthy successor, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

   Then the other speakers spoke about the great role of the genius personality in building the modern model of independent Azerbaijan, in the economic development of our country, and in gaining its reputation among the world states.

   Between speeches at the conference, poems, dances prepared by students of the college and a documentary film reflecting the life and activities of the general leader were shown. The song "You are such a peak" performed by a college student and the documentary film of the same name were met with great applause by the conference participants.
