A round table entitled "July 14, 1969: The day when the foundation of independent and powerful Azerbaijan was laid" was held at Ganja Medical College. The event began with the playing of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan, commemoration of the spirit of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who died for the liberation of our lands with a minute of silence.

     Kamala Ismayilova, the deputy director of Ganja Medical College, who opened the event, spoke about how National Leader Heydar Aliyev stepped on the path of progress of Azerbaijan with his coming to power for the first time in Azerbaijan and emphasized that this was the beginning of a great turn for our country:

"July 14, 1969, which is a turning point in the history of modern Azerbaijan, is the beginning of a great era when the great leader Heydar Aliyev led Azerbaijan. During that period, since 1920, the leadership of the Central Committee of Azerbaijan repeatedly changed, and the crisis years spent until July 14, 1969 alternated each other. On the date of the appointment of the great leader Heydar Aliyev as the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan, the foundation of a new era and development in the social and economic life of Azerbaijan was laid. On August 5, 1969, his historic speech at the plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan alarmed the imperial leadership. At the August 5, 1969 plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan, the fundamental strategic directions of the future development of Azerbaijan were determined. "Heydar Aliyev, a big fanatic of his native people, in the complex historical conditions dominated by the totalitarian regime, began to implement a wide program of reforms in all spheres of life to turn Azerbaijan into one of the most advanced republics of the Soviet Union," K. Ismayilova added.

   Then Ganja Medical College Methodist Gulshan Bagirova, Head of Production and Practice Malahat Musayeva, Library Manager Ruziya Mammadova also spoke about the fact that the years 1969-1982 were included in the annals of the construction of Azerbaijan as the brightest pages, in those years more than 250 factories, factories, production workshops was put into use. They talked about the opening of 630,000 new jobs. In the speeches, it was also emphasized that H. Aliyev managed to build the Household Air Conditioners factory in Baku in 1975. The growth and development of cities such as Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, and the creation of new large production enterprises coincided with those times. In those years, thousands of schools, hospitals, rest homes, and libraries were put into use. In those years, celebrating the anniversaries of Nizami, Ajamin, Nasimi, Tusi, Vagif, Ashiq Alasgar, Uzeyir Hajibeyov, Muslim Magomayev, Huseyn Javid, and the National Theater of Azerbaijan, and in 1982, the remains of Huseyn Javid were brought from Irkutsk province to his native land, Nakhchivan, and buried in Nakhchivan. was a manifestation of care for their values.

The speakers also noted that today the successful policy and sustainable development strategy founded by Heydar Aliyev is being successfully continued by Ilham Aliyev, the worthy follower of the great leader's path. Expressing the will of this Azerbaijani people, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev is not only the president of independent Azerbaijan, he is also the leader of the world's Azerbaijanis. As a result of President Ilham Aliyev's decisive and purposeful activity, great political knowledge and management ability, the Victorious Army of Azerbaijan ended the 30-year occupation. Thus, the myth of the "invincible army" created by the enemy for years failed in the eyes of the whole world within 44 days, the Armenian army was crushed and the "Iron Fist" operation ended with the Glorious Victory of Azerbaijan.

   In the end, a video presentation dedicated to Heydar Aliyev's coming to power for the first time was shown.
