A graduate of the "Work of a nurse" department should know and be able to:

- Laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan and legal normative acts related to healthcare;

- Basic principles of medical ethics and deontology;

- The rights and duties of a medical worker in treatment and prevention institutions;

- Organization and structure of work in treatment and sanitary-prophylactic institutions;

- Organization of providing medical and medical social assistance to the population;

- Implementation of preventive and sanitary educational work, the basics of sanology and valeology;

- Organization of sanitary-prophylactic regime in treatment and prevention institutions;

- Organization and conduct of dispensation, timely detection of patients;

- Theoretical foundations of nursing work;

- The main drugs used in the treatment of widespread diseases;

- Nutritional supplements;

- Statistics of the health status of the population and compilation of medical documents;

- Basics of medical and social rehabilitation;

- Sanitary education work;

- Conducting anthropometric measurements;

- Provision of medical assistance in urgent situations;

- Providing first aid during traumas, poisonings, burns, etc.;

- Counting the frequency of breathing movements, measuring the body temperature, counting the pulse, measuring the arterial pressure;

- General principles of conducting laboratory and instrumental examinations, preparation of patients for examinations and proper collection of materials for examination (blood, sputum, sputum, urine, feces);

- Placement of a blood clot;

- Performing diagnostic and therapeutic manipulations (injections, enemas, parenteral nutrition, placing urinary catheters, etc.) based on the doctor's appointment;

- Purchase, prescription and storage of medicinal preparations;

- Applying mustard drops, leeches, jars, ice pack, degassing tube, compresses - General principles of patient care and specifics of care during individual diseases (care of oral cavity, ears, nose, skin);
