"Corruption is one of the main factors that hinder development in every area of ​​society. It has a negative impact on the creation of a normal formation, creates a serious threat to economic and social progress, and leads to the violation of human rights and freedoms. The existence of corruption not only harms national and universal values, but also affects the democratic and legal state structure. Cases of corruption are contrary to the values ​​of honesty and justice and over time reduce social trust, threaten the well-being of society, and are considered a criminal act that hinders socio-economic development. We must be determined and fight against corruption in all areas of our society." These views were expressed at the conference "Corruption is the enemy of a democratic society" at Ganja Medical College of the Ministry of Health.

 It was noted that corruption, which is a dangerous manifestation of organized crime, is one of the most complex social problems inherent in all societies, existing since ancient times. The speaking doctors and teachers of the college, Malahat Musayeva, Gulnara Mustafayeva, Nigar Nabiyeva, also emphasized that the uncompromising and principled fight against corruption crimes in the Republic of Azerbaijan started under the leadership of national leader Heydar Aliyev, and decisive measures were taken in this direction. Under the leadership of the great leader, the fight against organized crime and corruption as its dangerous manifestation has been raised to a new level in the Republic of Azerbaijan, and preventive measures have been put forward.

The speakers noted that under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who has successfully continued the line of civil society and democratic state-building based on law and social justice on a completely new level in recent years, the scale of anti-corruption measures has been expanded in our country. The positive results of the reforms systematically connecting many different fields under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev have contributed to indicators that minimize the risk of corruption, such as transparency in citizen-official contact, accountability, and the expansion of digitalization, thus state registration of legal entities, construction, property registration, tax, customs , the transition to a new level of development of individual sectors such as foreign trade and public procurement was stimulated.
