The debate "Green world and alternative energy sources" was held at the Ganja Medical College of the Ministry of Health

A debate called "Green world and alternative energy sources" was organized in Ganja Medical College of the Ministry of Health within the framework of 2024 "Year of solidarity for the sake of a green world". At the event, which was attended by the employees of the Ganja Regional Debate Center, it was noted that Azerbaijan has taken important steps in the field of environmental protection and combating climate change in recent years.

    Before the discussions started, the director of the college, Mehman Rzayev, welcomed the participants and noted the importance of climate change, environmental problems, and the use of alternative energy sources, an important problem that worries the whole world today. He emphasized that the declaration of 2024 in Azerbaijan as the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World" and the "Green Energy" zone of our lands freed from occupation by the Decree of the President of the State Ilham Aliyev is to pay attention to this important area of our country, the restoration of greenery, the use of alternative energy sources, and ecological balance. its role in protection is very important.

    Then, "Chairman of the Ganja Medical College Debate Club at the Ganja Regional Debate Center" - 1st year student of the "Nurse-Brother" specialty, Cansu Gasimova spoke about the protection of greenery in our country, the establishment of new greenery, the construction and use of alternative energy sources: "With climate change in Azerbaijan, this gives special importance to innovation and technology in the fight. Azerbaijan is trying to strengthen environmental sustainability by applying new technologies, especially in the field of waste management, efficient use of water resources and reduction of harmful gases emitted into the atmosphere. These innovations allow both the improvement of the country's ecological situation and the effective use of renewable energy sources.

      Then the program coordinator of the Ganja Regional Debate Center, Omar Mammadli, gave a speech on the topic "Green world and alternative energy sources - a bridge to the North and the South". He emphasized that the application of alternative energy sources in the restoration of the ecological balance in the world, protection of flora and fauna plays a major role in the expansion of relations and exchange of experience between the countries that take practical steps in this direction.

     Aysel Hajinabiyeva, trainer-judge of Ganja Regional Debate Center, informed the participants of the debate about "ecological terrorism committed by Armenians". It was noted that 30 years ago, the Armenians, who occupied more than 20% of our country, destroyed our cities and villages in Karabakh and massively destroyed the forests, flora and fauna. During this period, the atmosphere, water sources and our soil were subjected to biological, chemical and physical pollution.

     In the direction of Gazakh region, along the Murov mountain range, in the direction of Aghdara, in the forest area of Talish, Gulustan, Baranbart, 100 hectares of beech, gum, cypress, pine, oak and many perennial trees were cut and transported to Armenia. With this, our country was subjected to environmental terrorism by Armenians.

     It was reported that the victory of the 44-day Patriotic War, which began in September 2020, put an end to the liberation of our lands from occupation, as well as to the implementation of ecological terrorist acts. Along with the construction works, in our freed areas, massive restoration of greenery, cleaning of water basins, revitalization of flora and fauna is being carried out.
