An educational event was held in Ganja Medical College on the occasion of "International Day of Fight against Drug Addiction and Drug Business". At the meeting organized by the Ganja City Youth and Sports Department, young people were informed about ways to fight against drug addiction and drug business and its consequences.

The director of Ganja Medical College, Mehman Rzayev, said that the fight against drug addiction is one of the main goals and tasks in terms of the formation of a healthy society. According to Rzayev, the scourge of drug addiction, known as "white death" in society, causes incurable complications in human life. Drug addiction, which is one of the most painful problems that affects all peoples and nations regardless of race, age, and religion, is a problem for humanity, and is on the same level as dangerous problems such as weapons, human trafficking, and organ transfer in the world, and has become a source of danger for every nation.

Mushfiq Jafarov, head of the Youth and Sports Department, Jomard Rzayev, deputy of the Anti-Narcotics Division of the Ganja Police Department, and Etibar Khalilov, doctor of the Ganja Drug Dispensary, also spoke at the event and spoke about drug addiction and other harmful habits, their consequences, and the fight against this terrible scourge. They brought to the attention of the event participants that the spread of drug addiction among young people is always an actual problem of the society. They urged the youth to be active in the fight against drug addiction, which is the scourge of the century.

Then the speakers also talked about the terrible consequences of drug addiction, and it was emphasized that the expansion of educational work, especially among teenagers and young people, is a priority issue as one of the important steps that serve to solve the international problem of a global character.

At the end of the event, a social video called "White Death" was shown, and questions of interest to young people were answered by representatives of relevant institutions.
