On September 25, Ganja Medical College held an open lesson on Memorial Day. College teachers and students participated in the lecture. The speakers talked about the Patriotic War, which began on September 27, 2020, in response to the next military aggression of the armed forces of Armenia against our country, under the leadership of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan in order to liberate our occupied lands. It was noted that our soldiers and officers who showed courage in the struggle for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, our civilians working in the rear, and our people as a whole showed determination and will, unity and solidarity, and dealt crushing blows to the enemy. It was also emphasized that Muzaffar, who could not withstand the victory march of the Azerbaijan Army, resorted to provocations and committed war crimes by targeting innocent civilians:
"Up to 3,000 servicemen of our Armed Forces were killed in the Civil War, dozens of our servicemen went missing, and more than a thousand of our servicemen were injured and lost their health. Our lands under occupation were liberated at the cost of the blood and lives of our martyrs, soldiers and officers, veterans. Azerbaijan always appreciates the bravery of its fighting sons and daughters, respects the souls of all our martyrs, and cherishes their memory. As a sign of deep respect to our soldiers and officers, who fought heroically in the Patriotic War, waved the Azerbaijani flag on our lands freed from occupation, and sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country, to all our martyrs, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated December 2, 2020, every year on September 27 It was decided to celebrate it as Memorial Day in the Republic of Azerbaijan," it was stated in the speeches.
It was also emphasized in the lecture that Memorial Day is a successful and honorable step taken by Azerbaijan on the way to Victory. In the 44-day Patriotic War, the brave Azerbaijani army united closely around Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and won a deserved victory over the enemy without fearing to lose their lives. Thanks to the heroism of our soldiers and officers who stood up to the call of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief for the liberation of the lands on September 27, our army won at the cost of the blood of our brave sons, and our lands, which were under occupation for 30 years, were liberated.
The speakers also noted that every child of Azerbaijan who rose to the height of martyrdom in this war will always live in our hearts, and their souls will always be remembered with respect in the hearts of our people.
