
On February 4-7, the students of Ganja Medical College organized an event in Ganja within the framework of the "ASAN Improvement Model for Women" project, which was jointly organized by the "ASAN Volunteers" Organization and the "Coca-Cola" Foundation. participated in business development trainings. The main goal of the event was to provide entrepreneurship opportunities and career knowledge for women and girls living in Ganja and surrounding areas. At the closing ceremony, certificates were presented to nearly 200 participants who successfully completed the training modules. Taking into account the wide opportunities available in the field of tourism in Azerbaijan, AIM-W will dedicate its activities for 2019-2020 to the promotion of the theme "Women in Tourism".
Speaking at the event, Sahil Mammadli, Head of the Volunteers Sector of the State Agency for Service to Citizens and Social Innovations, said that there are ambitious projects in Ganja:
"Although the women here participated in our project for the first time, they presented very good and solid ideas. Together with our trainers, we turned those ideas into a project and business plan. Soon we will see the implementation of those projects. We will always try to be with our mentor support ladies," added Sahil Mammadli.
At the closing ceremony, Deputy Head of Ganja City Executive Authority - Head of Socio-Political and Humanitarian Affairs Department, Vafa Abbasova spoke about the importance of such projects for the business development of women, and emphasized the role of women in the life of the state and society.
At the event, Narmin Mammadli, the chief marketer of ABAD public legal entity, gave the participants information about the activities of ABAD centers, services provided to farms based on family labor, and created brands.
"ASAN Improvement Model for Women" (ASAN Improvement Model for Women) project covers Ganja, Mingachevir, Gabala, Guba, Sumgayit and Sheki economic zones. Within the framework of the project, entrepreneurship and career training will be held for women and girls living in those areas. After the training, the trainers will mentor the participants and support their ideas.
