
Students of Ganja Medical College participated in the official event organized on the occasion of Youth Day on February 2. The meeting held at the Heydar Aliyev Center took place with the support of the Ganja City Executive Authority and the organization of the Ganja City Youth and Sports General Department. The meeting was attended by Niyazi Bayramov, the head of the Ganja City Executive Authority, city intellectuals, active young people and students working in the field of education, healthcare, culture, and sports.
Before the event, the participants visited the monument of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and laid flowers in front of it.
February 2 - the event dedicated to Azerbaijan Youth Day began with the singing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Congratulating the youth, the head of the Ganja City Executive Authority, Niyazi Bayramov, spoke about the youth policy implemented in Azerbaijan, the attention and care given to them.
"This significant historical day is connected with the name of our national leader. The genius Heydar Aliyev ensured the formation of the necessary legislative base of the state policy in the field of youth, and the youth policy formed from that period continues to make its contribution today. Under the leadership of the head of the country, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, state programs that encourage the individual development of young people are accepted. As a result, Azerbaijani youth are represented in all spheres of social life and prove themselves. The reforms carried out in the country require the training of educated young people with innovative thinking. In this regard, a number of steps are taken in order to increase the sense of social responsibility among young people, their activity, and to effectively use the potential of youth. One of them is the declaration of 2020 as the "Year of Volunteers" by the relevant Decree of President Ilham Aliyev. Promotion of voluntary activity is one of the main priorities of the Youth Fund," said Niyazi Bayramov.
Then, Vusal Mirzayev, who is temporarily acting as the head of the Ganja City Youth and Sports Department, delivered a report speech, talked about the projects implemented in the field of work and sports with young people in 2019, and talked about the successes achieved. Then the floor was given to the young people. During the speeches, the history of the creation of February 2 - Azerbaijan Youth Day was reviewed, and it was emphasized that youth policy is one of the most important activities of the Azerbaijani state.
At the event, a group of young people were awarded with the Honorary Decree of the Head of the Ganja City Executive Authority on the occasion of "February 2 - Youth Day" for their active participation in the public life of Ganja city and their effective work in the field of youth work. Leman Jahangirli, chairman of the Student Youth Organization of Ganja Medical College, was also awarded an honorary decree and award by the Executive President Niyazi Bayramov.
