An event titled “Career Building and Development Paths in Pharmacy” was held at Ganja Medical College under the Ministry of Health. Representatives of pharmaceutical companies operating in the Ganjabasar region and students currently studying at the college came together at the meeting. This gathering, organized within the framework of cooperation between pharmacists and the educational sector, aimed to contribute to preparing young specialists for professional life.
Representatives of the companies provided students with information and recommendations on several important areas. During the meeting, practical information was shared regarding the establishment of professional careers, the first steps toward a career in pharmacy, the specifics of the recruitment process, and the skills required in the sector.
In addition, career paths for pharmacists — ranging from clinical pharmacy to pharmaceutical management — specialization opportunities, and the main stages of professional growth were explained. The event also addressed the preparation of self-presentation documents appropriate for the fields of medicine and pharmacy, as well as mechanisms for establishing internship, volunteer, and employment cooperation between companies and students.
It was noted that the pharmaceutical market in Azerbaijan is among the rapidly developing sectors. The expansion of the nationwide pharmaceutical network, ongoing efforts to increase local production of medicinal products, and the modernization of medical infrastructure make this field a promising career choice. Considering the importance of the Ganjabasar region as a regional center, the demand for local pharmaceutical specialists is also increasing.
The college administration stated during the meeting that such events will be held regularly and will provide students with the opportunity to become familiar with the real demands of the market.
