The Ministry of Health’s Ganja Medical College held an educational seminar on “First Aid”

     On May 21, employees of the Ministry of Health’s Ganja Medical College and the Ganja Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations organized an educational seminar on the topic “First Aid” at Ganja Medical College. Around 22 deputy principals from secondary schools in Ganja and surrounding districts attended the seminar as participants.

 Opening the event with an introductory speech, Sevda Abbasova, Civil Defense Headquarters Engineer of Ganja Medical College, highlighted the close cooperation between the college and the Ganja Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. She also emphasized that the lessons conducted by the college’s physician-instructors on the organization of first aid are always met with great interest.

During the seminar, physician-instructor Mehpara Guliyeva provided extensive information on first aid measures for bleeding, trauma, choking, poisoning, drowning, snake bites, burns, epileptic seizures, electric shock and lightning strikes, bee stings, as well as the application of CPR. The topics attracted great interest from the audience, and participants’ questions were answered.

The employees of the Ganja Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the seminar participants expressed their gratitude to the college administration and physician-instructors for the informative lessons delivered.
