Participation in International Events Held in April Discussed at Ganja Medical College

At the Ganja Medical College under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, two physician-lecturers and a student who were invited to international events in Kazakhstan in April shared their impressions with the college staff.

First, Melahat Musayeva, the internship supervisor of the college, spoke about her participation in a large-scale international event titled “Artificial Intelligence and Modern Methods in Medical Education”, held within the framework of the 90th anniversary of Zhambyl Higher Medical College.

She noted that the event brought together representatives and local specialists from Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, China and Azerbaijan. The main purpose of the event was to study artificial intelligence technologies comprehensively within the educational environment of medical colleges and to apply them in practice. The initiative focuses on developing innovative training models ranging from virtual simulations that facilitate the modernization of master-class teaching plans and improve the digital competencies of teaching staff, to intelligent assessment systems that help train specialists fully aligned with the requirements of future medicine.

Melahat Musayeva conveyed the congratulations of the leadership and staff of Ganja Medical College on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Zhambyl Higher Medical College. She also delivered a presentation titled “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Medical Colleges of Azerbaijan,” providing detailed information about her institution. During her presentation, she spoke about the conditions created in recent years at Ganja Medical College, as well as the areas where artificial intelligence and modern innovations are applied.

Later, participants of the International Scientific and Practical Student Conference titled “Young Specialists in the Healthcare System: International Dialogue Among Medical Colleges,” held in the Kyzylorda Region of Kazakhstan, shared their impressions. These participants included the college methodologist Gulshen Baghirova and student Shafiqa Alekbarova.

It was noted that representatives from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Latvia participated in the conference. The main focus areas of the event included leadership, volunteering, scientific-practical training, digital healthcare, and artificial intelligence.

Speaking about the course of the conference, Gulshen Baghirova shared her impressions of visiting Kyzylorda Higher Medical College and described the educational conditions created there. She emphasized that the material and technical facilities observed in Kazakhstan have already been established at Ganja Medical College for many years. She also informed the conference participants that modern laboratories and classrooms equipped with innovative technologies are available in medical colleges across Azerbaijan.

Student Shafiqa Alekbarova also delivered a presentation in the “Volunteering” section of the conference on the topic “Medical Volunteering: Serving Humanity.” Her presentation, delivered in English, was received with great interest and attention.

At the end of the meeting, the participation in international events held in April was highly appreciated. The director of the college, Honored Doctor Mehman Rzayev, emphasized that such international events will further enhance the educational environment of the institution and provide a strong impetus for the development of artificial intelligence and innovative progress.
