
A civil defense drill titled “Alert and Assembly Drill with Non-Militarized Civil Defense Units” was held at Ganja Medical College of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan in accordance with the implementation of the Civil Defense Action Plan. The drill involved the commanders, chiefs, and personnel of the civil defense units.
The director of the college and head of civil defense, Mehman Rzayev, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of this event and highlighted that the personnel consisting of staff and students must always remain prepared in case of any emergency.
During the event, employees were informed about the duties of the civil defense units of Ganja Medical College, after which instructions were given for them to proceed to their assigned service locations. According to the plan, within a specified period, loudspeakers and fire alarm systems installed in the duty section were activated, and with the “Assembly” signal, the mobilization of everyone at the main assembly area was ensured. Subsequently, a conditional fire drill was conducted by members of the firefighting, rescue, sanitary, public order protection, and other units at the medical institution. The condition of fire extinguishers was checked and practical exercises were carried out.
In addition, employees and students were again informed about the responsibilities of the units in case of possible incidents in the administrative building of Ganja Medical College, their operational response procedures, and the safe evacuation of teachers and students from the administrative building to a secure area.
