An event dedicated to March 1 – World Civil Defense Day was organized by the Ganja Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations at the Ganja Medical College of the Ministry of Health.

The conference, themed "Managing Environmental Risks for a Sustainable and Stable Future," was attended by officials from the Ganja Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, including Lieutenant Colonel Etibar Mammadov and Major Rashad Abdullayev, as well as the management and staff of the college.

Opening the event, Sevda Abbasova, Chief of the Civil Defense Headquarters of Ganja Medical College, provided information regarding the specific theme designated for Civil Defense Day in 2026.

The Director of Ganja Medical College, Honored Doctor Mehman Rzayev, congratulated all employees working in this field on International Civil Defense Day. He emphasized the importance of the theme "Managing Environmental Risks for a Sustainable and Stable Future" and highlighted the crucial role of civil defense personnel in this area.

Subsequently, representatives of the Ganja Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations delivered speeches on the "Principles of Civil Defense" and environmental risk management.

Presentations were also made by college staff members: Gulshan Baghirova on the "History of Civil Defense," Gunel Tomuyeva on "Environmental Risks," and Matanat Aliyeva on "Solutions to Problems Created by Environmental Risks."

At the conclusion of the conference, a video dedicated to civil defense and emergency response measures was screened.
