A conference on the Memorial Day of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Ganja Medical College of the Ministry of Health. After the playing of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan, the event began with a minute of silence in memory of the soul of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who lost their lives for the liberation of our lands.

“Regardless of where and in what position Heydar Aliyev worked, he always worked for the rise and development of Azerbaijan and the welfare of our people. Therefore, the years of leadership of the Great Leader in Azerbaijan during both the Soviet and independent periods are the renaissance pages of our history. During these periods, Azerbaijan was saved from crises and declines, and Heydar Aliyev achieved the rise of Azerbaijan with his genius. In each period, our people have witnessed the courage, love of the homeland, and decisive policy of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev.” These thoughts were expressed by the director of the Ganja Medical College, Honored Doctor Mehman Rzayev at the conference on the Memorial Day of the Great Leader. He noted that the great personality has made an invaluable contribution to the recognition of Azerbaijan as a developed country in the world today, both in terms of economic and political development.

Then, the college employees Zilan Rzayeva and Bahar Seyidova made extensive reports on the topic “Heydar Aliyev’s role in society”. The event emphasized that years will pass, in the new history, the future generation will never forget the role of Heydar Aliyev’s spirit in the transformation of independent Azerbaijan into a modern state, and will always remember it with great love in their hearts.

It was also noted at the conference that the political course of Heydar Aliyev, which began in Azerbaijan in 1993, is still bringing historical achievements to our country today. The worthy continuation of Heydar Aliyev’s path by the esteemed President Ilham Aliyev over the past 22 years has elevated Azerbaijan to a new stage of development. During these years, proud pages of our history have been written, and Azerbaijan has become a state with a voice and high authority in the region and the world. As a result of his decisive policy and every success we have achieved, President Ilham Aliyev's name is mentioned alongside the most influential heads of state in the world.

Undoubtedly, the greatest success that the continuation of Heydar Aliyev's political course has brought to our people since 2003 is the liberation of our lands from occupation. Thus, the only painful problem of our state was put to an end, Mr. President, the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev duly fulfilled the will and greatest desire of the Great Leader.

At the end of the event, poems dedicated to the National Leader were sung, and at the end, a video titled "You are such a peak" was shown.
