“The upbringing of a healthy citizen is of particular importance in the construction of a legal state. The existence of individuals who are serious, fanatical in their attitude towards people, the people, and statehood, and who follow the rules of humanity, is considered the foundation of society. Good people create a good society. Therefore, we must protect our children, who are considered the core of society, and respect their rights so that they can feel like true citizens as our future and successors from an early age,” said the director of the college, Honored Doctor Mehman Rzayev, at the conference “Let's Protect Children's Rights” held at the Ganja Medical College of the Ministry of Health on November 20, dedicated to World Children's Rights Day. He emphasized that children are the future of Azerbaijan and every child is considered an equal member of society from the moment of birth.
Then the speakers noted that the idea that children have different physical, physiological, behavioral and characteristics from adolescents, that they are constantly growing and developing, that the care of children is a societal problem and that everyone should bear this responsibility with scientific approaches, was established by the Geneva Declaration of the Rights of the Child. The current international document related to children's rights is the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, which was adopted by the United Nations on November 20, 1989 and ratified by 193 countries. At the end of the conference, a film titled "Children are our future" was shown.
