Today, the Ganja Medical College of the Ministry of Health, one of the oldest educational institutions training secondary medical workers in Azerbaijan, held its graduation day. The college, which has been operating since 1931, has graduated a total of 310 students in the specialties of “Nurse (Brother)”, “Midwifery”, “Pharmacy”, “Medical Prevention”, “Orthopedic Dentistry” and “Laboratory Diagnostics” in the 2024-2025 academic year.
Greeting the students on the graduation day, the director of the college, Honored Doctor Mehman Rzayev, spoke about the conditions created in the medical educational institution for receiving high-quality education. It was noted that today our state is carrying out targeted work to improve the level of doctors and paramedical staff, along with the repair and technical equipment of healthcare institutions in Azerbaijan:
“Our college, which has been operating since 1931, has been renovated at a high level in recent years and equipped with modern equipment. As you know, our students are currently being trained in 6 specialties. Today, 1,040 students are studying at our college. This is 40 percent more than in previous years. We already have laboratories with very high technical support. With the help of these created conditions, modern medical equipment, robot simulators and other technical means in our new laboratories, we are able to train truly professional medical workers, students with high knowledge and skills. It is planned that several more laboratories will be put at the disposal of students in the near future. All necessary conditions have been created in the newly built and commissioned “Student House” at our college. I hope that our graduates who will graduate today will be able to provide high-level medical services to the population in any medical institution in the future,” M. Rzayev added.
Then, the college's medical teachers and graduates, who made speeches, looked back at the past 3 years and recalled the joint steps they had taken on the difficult but honorable path of medical science.
After the speeches, honorary diplomas were presented to graduates who distinguished themselves in education and the social life of the college during the past 3 years.
After the graduation day, the Ministry of Health organized the 2nd graduate job fair at the Ganja Medical College. The event, which was attended by about 22 state and private medical institutions in the western region, was of great interest to the graduates. The college graduates were interested in vacancies by communicating directly with the employees of the employing medical institutions and sharing their information with them.
At the graduate job fair, medical institutions operating in Ganja and surrounding regions presented vacant and soon-to-be vacant vacancies to the graduates. This event was very effective in terms of finding jobs for students who graduated from college this year.
At the end of the event, musical numbers were performed by the college students.
