Speaking at the meeting, the college's doctors-teachers Yegana Huseynova, Mehpara Guliyeva, Sveta Azimova spoke about the measures taken to protect human rights and freedoms in our country. It was noted that for the first time in the modern independent Republic of Azerbaijan, the "State Program on the Protection of Human Rights" was approved by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev on June 18, 1998, and the provision of human rights was determined as one of the main directions of state policy. By the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated June 18, 2007, on that historic day - June 18, Human Rights Day was declared in Azerbaijan. The speakers also emphasized that the work of protecting human and civil rights and freedoms is being improved today in our country, and the implementation of targeted measures in this area is successfully continued. In the modern period of development in Azerbaijan, strengthening efforts in the field of legal state building and protection of human rights is one of the main directions of state policy. The democratic legal reforms carried out in Azerbaijan have created conditions for achieving significant progress in the field of protection of human rights, and during this period our country has joined many legal acts.
