An event was held in Ganja Medical College in connection with September 27 Memorial Day. The director of the college, Mehman Rzayev, who opened the meeting with a minute's silence, said that the glorious victory achieved in the 44-day Karabakh war was written in golden letters in the history of Azerbaijan, and that it was a place of pride for each of us:

"Exactly one year ago, when Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev called all Azerbaijan to stand up and take up arms and fight against the enemy, everyone mobilized for the liberation of our lands without blinking an eye. A great, visionary politician united around a capable team and became "IRON FIST" and was brought down to the head of the Armenians. We had martyrs and veterans on the way to the liberation of the historical lands that we have longed for for 30 years. In the end, our lands were liberated under the leadership of the supreme commander-in-chief. We are now citizens of the victorious country, and therefore we are grateful to our martyrs, veterans, soldiers who showed bravery on the battlefields, and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief," added Mehman Rzayev.

M. Rzayev emphasized that in those difficult moments, the students of Ganja Medical College should have been left out when the wounded were brought to all medical institutions. About 30 students, who will become nurses in the future, participated day and night in providing medical aid to our wounded in various hospitals. It was also noted that it is no coincidence that after the victory in the 44-day war, the heads of those medical centers and hospitals awarded the students of the college who made sacrifices in those difficult moments with certificates of honor and letters of thanks.

Then Gulshan Bagirova, the teacher of the college who spoke, noted that on September 27, Azerbaijan rose to its rightful war, mobilized to liberate its ancestral lands from Armenian oppression, and everyone was eager to help the army and the front in all fields without fear.

"When a war starts, people usually fall into fear. But the people of Azerbaijan welcomed this war as a battle of zeal. No one hesitated or got tired. We didn't think about retreating and being afraid at such a moment when civilians were being killed by rocket attacks in Ganja and other cities. The enemy could not shake our conviction and militancy with anything. We believed and relied on our Commander-in-Chief and our victorious army until the end. May God have mercy on our martyrs, give health to our veterans and our soldiers who sacrificed themselves in battles."

Then the speakers emphasized that everyone is united as a fist in this fight for justice, they support the army and the front, and they believe that as a result of this unity, our professional army with qualified personnel equipped with modern weapons will win.

In the end, the importance of celebrating September 27 as Memorial Day every year was specially emphasized and it was stated that our martyrs and veterans who died in this zeal and land war will never be forgotten and will always be kept alive in our hearts.
