According to its legal status, Ganja Medical College of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan is an educational institution that carries out the training of specialists of secondary education, training of secondary medical and pharmaceutical specialists of the republic.

Studying, upgrading, improving and changing specializations at the college are carried out with or without payment.

Since 2014, the organization of education in the college with the credit system is carried out in accordance with the "Rules for the organization of education with the credit system" in secondary educational institutions approved by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 26, 2013 No. 354.

The organization of education with the credit system in the college is regulated by relevant institutions (teaching department, departments, subject unification commissions, registration, evaluation units).

The academic year usually starts on September 15 and ends according to the curriculum of that specialty.

The academic year consists of 2 semesters (Autumn and Spring). In addition, no more than 6 weeks of summer vacation can be arranged during the summer semester on a paid basis.

The total duration of the academic year is 40 weeks. Vacations with a total duration of 2-12 weeks are determined for students no less than twice during the academic year.

The following main types of classes are defined in Ganja Medical College: lecture, seminar, practical class, laboratory classes, free work, educational production experience, pre-diploma experience.

In Ganja Medical College, the educational tasks arising from the humanistic nature of education and universal values are fulfilled by the joint teaching and creative production social activities of students and teachers.

State educational standards corresponding to world standards are applied in Ganja Medical College.

State standards are determined and implemented by special regulations approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Students who have completed the program of the college level and passed the final state attestation are given a state model certificate-diploma on the completion of the college. The diploma supplement shows the list of all the subjects taught, the number of credits (number of hours) and the grades (letters and marks) obtained from the subjects according to the curriculum.

An appropriate certificate or certificate of completion of specialization and improvement courses related to post-diploma education is issued.

At least 75% of the exam grades are "excellent" and the rest are only "good", graduates who get "excellent" grades in the state exam receive a diploma of distinction.

Evaluation of students' knowledge with a multi-point system is carried out in accordance with the "Statute" approved by the order of the Ministry of Education No. 231 dated 20.02.2008.

This system aims to improve the current system of evaluating students' acquired knowledge during the educational period and increase its efficiency. On the other hand, this system allows to cover the main directions of his activity in the educational process by providing an individual approach to the student.

State samples of diploma forms on secondary specialized education are prepared by the Ministry of Education in the established manner and approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

Ganja Medical College is managed on the basis of the Statute corresponding to the legislation, special normative acts, the law on the institution and this statute.

The Charter of Ganja Medical College is adopted by its highest body, the Pedagogical Council, and after approval by the founder, it is registered in the Ministry of Justice.

State Standards of Secondary Education

That standard defines the following:

- Basic understanding in the field of secondary education;

- The structure of secondary vocational education system, documents on secondary vocational education;

- General requirements for basic educational programs on secondary education;

- General norms of teaching loads of requirements of secondary specialized educational institutions;

- The independence of the secondary vocational education institution in determining the content of secondary vocational education;

- Rules of state control of compliance with the requirements of the standard;

- List of directions and specialties of secondary education;

- General requirements for the mandatory minimum content and level of preparation of graduates of secondary education in specific areas and specialties.

Compliance with that standard is mandatory in Ganja Medical College.

The main educational program of secondary specialized education in Ganja Medical College is a document that determines the content of education, including teaching experience and the attestation of graduates' professional training.

The normative period of education in Ganja Medical College is the period of formal mastering of standard adapted secondary specialty programs from the base of secondary or technical vocational education. The standard period of study is 3 years on the basis of secondary or technical vocational education

The state document on secondary education given to the graduates of Ganja Medical College gives them the opportunity to work and continue their education at the level of professional training and in the field of professional activity according to this standard.

The following compulsory subjects are divided in the professional education program of secondary specialized education - it is envisaged:

HF-B00 Humanities

IPF-B00 Vocational training subjects of the specialty (program).

In addition to compulsory subjects, optional subjects are also included in the secondary vocational education program.

The procedure for continuing education by switching to another educational program in one educational program is determined by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The weekly study load of studying students is 30 hours.

One academic hour is 45 minutes.

Educational programs are designed by college experts. The requirements of the current standard in educational programs for subjects include a systematic course of science corresponding to the subject. New programs for teaching at a high level were designed by the teachers of the college and approved by the Ministry of Health.

The general requirements for the knowledge and preparation level of graduates in the directions and specialties of secondary education are determined by the state standards for each direction and specialty.

A person who starts studying by the order of the director of Ganja Medical College is called a student. The student is given a student card and a grade book.

A student of Ganja Medical College to acquire knowledge according to the modern level of science, technology, and culture; participation in all kinds of training sessions; To participate in the discussion and resolution of the most important issues related to the activity of Ganja Medical College; free use of libraries, information funds, treatment units, computer centers, teaching and research laboratories; to participate in conferences, symposiums; present their work; If he does not agree with the orders and orders of the management of Ganja Medical College regarding the students and the person himself, he has the right to complain to higher organizations.

Students of Ganja Medical College are obliged to fulfill the educational requirements. They must fulfill the requirements of the Charter and observe the internal rules.

Expulsion, reinstatement and various transfers from Ganja Medical College are carried out according to the rules approved by the Ministry of Education.
