Head of Ganja City Executive Niyazi Bayramov, Turkish Consul General in Ganja Zeki Öztürk, MP Parvin Karimzadeh, Director of Ganja Medical College, Honored Doctor Mehman Rzayev and other officials took part in the event.
Before the event, the guests inspected the new laboratories created in Ganja Medical College. Mehman Rzayev reported that the opportunities for students to take practical classes and acquire knowledge visually have been significantly improved in the college. He said that already in new laboratories, medical skills are practically performed on robot mannequins. In addition, he noted that the "Pharmachemical Analytical Laboratory" created by TIKA will soon be put into use.
The event began with the singing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Later, the dear memory of our martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of our country was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Greeting the event participants, Mehman Rzayev noted that this year marks the 104th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADC), the first parliamentary republic in the Muslim East. He said that the APC, which existed for almost two years, left indelible marks in the history of Azerbaijan's national statehood with its rich state-building experience. On October 18, 1991, Azerbaijan regained its state independence. Today, the state policy founded by Heydar Aliyev is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev in accordance with the requirements and realities of the modern era. In 2020, as a result of the 44-day long Patriotic War, our lands that were under Armenian occupation for nearly 30 years were liberated. For the second year now, Azerbaijan celebrates Independence Day on May 28 as a victorious state that has secured its territorial integrity.
The students who participated in the event demonstrated their love for the Motherland with their poems and songs. The literary and artistic compositions presented by the students added more color to the event.
In the end, video clips and documentaries about state independence were shown.
