A seminar on "Health Protection and Promotion of Healthy Eating" was held at Ganja Medical College

“According to the World Health Organization, health is not just the absence of disease or weakness, but also good physical, mental and social well-being. Therefore, including healthy foods in our diet, choosing an active lifestyle, learning to understand the dangers of stress and fight it are steps to take for a healthy life. A person’s health depends primarily on himself. Timely prevention, a healthy lifestyle, a responsible attitude towards oneself and others are necessary conditions for maintaining health and longevity, as well as preventing diseases,” - these thoughts were shared by doctor-teacher Sevinj Rzayeva to students at a seminar on “Health Protection and Promotion of Healthy Nutrition” held at the Ganja Medical College of the Ministry of Health.

She added that healthy nutrition is one of the important conditions for the proper functioning of the body, the prevention of diseases and the improvement of the overall quality of life: “Healthy nutrition provides our body with the main nutrients that provide cells with energy - carbohydrates, proteins, fats. It strengthens the immune system, which in turn increases the body’s ability to fight diseases. In addition, it contributes to improving mental health and protecting against chronic diseases, as well as living a longer and better quality of life. The body remains energetic and strong, and helps the body stay healthy in old age.

The doctor-teacher said that adhering to the principles of healthy nutrition is an important component of a healthy lifestyle. Thus, the food we consume has a great impact on our health. The positive effect of healthy nutrition, especially combined with physical activity, on the body has been scientifically proven. In addition, healthy nutrition ensures longevity and prevents obesity, the development of diabetes, cardiovascular problems, and hypertension. - Nutrition characterized by an optimal ratio of nutrients is called balanced. Balanced nutrition provides the optimal ratio of proteins, amino acids, fats, carbohydrates, and vitamins in the daily diet for the human body.
