The opening of the newly built "Youth House" at the Ganja Medical College of the Ministry of Health, organized by the Ministry of Health and supported by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), took place. The college's public relations department reported that the event was attended by the Chairman of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Serkan Kayalar, TIKA's Head of Department for Central Asia and the Caucasus, Dr. Ali Özgün Öztürk, TIKA's Baku Office Head, Kheyrettin Özçelik, Head of the Ganja City Executive Authority, Niyazi Bayramov, Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Ganja, Recep Öztop, Consul General of the Republic of Georgia in Ganja, Kakhaber Abdaladze, and representatives of the city community.

The event began with the playing of the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Turkey. Then, a minute of silence was observed in memory of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our lands.

Welcoming the guests, the director of the college, Honored Doctor Mehman Rzayev spoke about the development of medical education in Azerbaijan in recent years, the reconstruction of medical institutions, their provision with modern medical equipment, as well as the favorable conditions created by the head of the country, President Ilham Aliyev, in order to protect people's health, including the improvement of medical education. M. Rzayev emphasized that over the past 7 years, Ganja Medical College has been reconstructed with the support of the Ministry of Health, and classrooms and laboratories equipped with new modern equipment have been created. Currently, 10 laboratories are operating in the college, reflecting the latest pace of development of science:

“Currently, our college students are studying in fully renovated classrooms equipped with all the necessary equipment. We have an electronic library that includes 81 medical science books. In this Youth House that we are opening today, future medical workers will increase their knowledge through laptops and high-speed internet. The most modern equipment has been installed in the robot simulator training center, our pharmaceutical, chemical-analytical laboratory, our orthopedic dentistry laboratory, simulation center, laboratory diagnostics and medical prevention, and information technology laboratories. This, of course, will allow us to train even more highly qualified medical specialists in the near future. It is gratifying that in recent years the number of our students has reached 1060, and the number of our students who received excellent grades is over 200. If previously the admission score to our college was up to 100, this year the entrance score is over 200. This also shows that the level of education at Ganja Medical College is improving year by year.”

At the event, the Head of the Ganja Executive Power, Niyazi Bayramov, the Chairman of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) Serkan Kayalar and others made speeches.

Finally, students of the Ganja Medical College of the Ministry of Health performed poems and musical numbers in front of the guests.

The Youth House, the foundation of which was laid in November 2023 on the territory of the Ganja Medical College of the Ministry of Health, covers an area of ​​500 square meters. The building, equipped with a modern ventilation and heating system, provides students with high-speed internet access with the help of computers and fiber optic cable. A large stage has also been installed in the Youth House for the high-quality and continuous activities of various associations of the college. There are conditions for association members to engage here with the help of various musical instruments and a professional sound system. All computers of the Youth House are connected to the centralized electronic library database of the Ganja Medical College, which contains 81 electronic medical teaching aids. Students and teachers can use any teaching aid by entering their own special codes.

All necessary conditions for normal nutrition of students have been created in the newly built building. Thus, the building has a kitchen equipped with all technical equipment and meeting sanitary and hygienic rules.

A large monitor, sound amplifier, and modern heating and cooling systems have also been put into operation in the youth house.
