
Ganja City Executive Authority and Ganja Regional Culture Department jointly organized a city-wide event on the occasion of the National Flag Day on November 9. The event held at the Ganja State Philharmonic named after F. Amirov was attended by the head of Ganja City Executive Niyazi Bayramov, Turkish Consul General in Ganja Zeki Öztürk, MPs Nagif Hamzayev and Parvin Karimzade, as well as the director of Ganja Medical College Mehman Rzayev and doctors and teachers.
First, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played by the military orchestra.
Later, the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of independent Azerbaijan, and our martyrs who died for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was commemorated with a minute of silence.
The speakers reviewed the history of November 9 - State Flag Day and spoke about the importance of the flag for a nation and state. It was emphasized that the flag is the self, the flag is honor, honor, the reason for the existence of a state. Speakers reminding the opinion of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people: "Whoever loves Azerbaijan, who wants Azerbaijan to become an independent state, who wants the liberation of the occupied lands of Azerbaijan, who wants the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, should unite under this flag", Muzaffar Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev's leadership noted that the 30-year longing for the Motherland was ended with the bravery of the Azerbaijani Army. It was reported that today our tricolor state symbol decorates the skies of Karabakh, which is our ancient and eternal land, with its victory crest.
In the continuation of the event, poems on the theme of patriotism were sung, and a concert program performed by the Folk Instruments Ensemble named after F. Amirov was presented.
