"November 8 - Victory Day is the dearest holiday for me. It is the only holiday, the announcement of which was welcomed by all our people with tears of joy. In the 44-day war, under the leadership of the victorious Supreme Commander Mr. Ilham Aliyev, our brave army fought heroically to the end and freed our lands from Armenian oppression, it is a great historical event. The memory of our people's sons who chose Martyrdom for the Motherland is always in our hearts. Finally, after 30 years, as a result of the goal-oriented policy of our country's leader, Azerbaijan won the war of justice and triumphed. In the trenches and on the battlefields, our valiant sons joined the war call of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief for the defense of the Motherland and the cleansing of the lands from Armenians without blinking an eye. Our army is on the battlefields, and our people are here, on the rear front, and we worked with all our strength to win our victory day and night. This is a historic victory, a history written in golden letters in the glorious history of Azerbaijan." Mehman Rzayev, director of Ganja Medical College, said these thoughts at the event dedicated to the Victory Day. Director, two years ago, our people united as a fist around the Commander-in-Chief for the liberation of the lands, the unity of the army and the people in the most difficult days of the war, the bravery of our soldiers and the people who worked day and night in the rear without fear or hesitation, spoke of his wisdom.

Mehman Rzayev noted that a group of teachers who distinguished themselves in their work, selected by the pedagogical council of the college, are awarded on the occasion of November 8 Victory Day.

Then other speakers spoke about the valor of the Azerbaijani army, which was equipped with modern weapons and military equipment during the 44-day Patriotic War. It was noted that under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, our army is developing day by day, local military specialists are being trained, as a result of the knowledge and skills of our soldiers who have mastered modern war methods, the bravery of our soldiers and officers and the desire to liberate our lands, the unity of our people around the "IRON FIST" was won as a result.

After the speeches, the film "The History-Writing General" prepared by the teachers and students of Ganja Medical College was shown. The film contains facts, figures, and real images about the history of victories under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

After the film, the students of the college performed the songs "Azerbaijanim" and "Chirpınyrdi Kara Diniz". At the event, the poems performed by the students were greeted with applause.
